Sample Preparation

Sample preparation is a critical determinant of the success of a mass spectrometry experiment.
Sample preparation approaches are analyte specific. Considerations include the complexity of the starting material, need to remove salts and water for reverse phase chromatography and the desired solvent for reconstitution of the final sample.
Internal standards (mass labeled or unnatural variants of the analyte or structurally similar molecules) are included in the sample to monitor recovery or serve as internal standards for quantitation.
We can provide equipment and instrumentation for liquid and solid phase extraction (SPE) which includes manual or automated SPE systems and automated multi sample evaporators.
